Mediation efforts continue in the Swedish nurses’ strike.
After spending much of Tuesday afternoon with mediators, the parties met again briefly on Wednesday. Afterwards the Association of Health Professionals said they had agreed to resume contact by the beginning of next week.
Some 7000 nurses, midwives, biomedical scientists and radiographers are taking part in the conflict, which began April 21st. Another 2700 are due to walk out next Friday.
The nurses are demanding a 15 percent salary increase over the next two years, which they say they need to catch up to other groups.
