Reptile Pets Released in Swedish Springtime

Reptiles and snakes are capturing headlines as spring weather continues in southern Sweden.

Frightened Stockholm suburban park visitors over the weekend called the police - who called zoologists - to capture two boa constrictors and take them to the local zoo.

Reptilian pet owners who tire of their legless or scaly friends during the long winter sometimes release them in parks and in the wilds – thinking that the creatures might survive in the warmer weather – and these first 2 snakes are expected to be joined by another 100 deliveries..
