Warmer weather fashion

H&M Posts Disappointing April

The Swedish fashion retailer Hennes and Mauritz has reported lower-than-expected April sales.

The world’s third-biggest clothing retailer attributes its disappointing results to cold weather, with sales down 1 percent from a year ago.

But the company says May got off to a strong start as the weather grew warmer, and Reuters writes that H & M has been holding up better than many of its rivals in Europe.
