Moose Closes Subway Line

Road and subway traffic in part of northwestern Stockholm was disrupted Wednesday afternoon, by a stray moose, or European elk.

The huge animal first blocked a major road in the suburb of Blackeberg, then wandered onto the nearby subway tracks. That stopped traffic on that line.

Before the police or animal keepers could arrive, the moose departed for parts unknown.
