Record Swedish nuclear fuel sales

Sales of Swedish fuel to global nuclear power plants are at an all-time-high.

The Svenska Westinghouses fuel factory in Västerås, central Sweden is delivering record amounts of fuel to nuclear power plants around the world.

Speaking to Swedish Radio, the company’s managing director Andreas Jackson explained that the increase in sales is mainly due to two new contracts with the Ukraine and with France.

After the accidents and setbacks of the 1980s, the nuclear power industry is experiencing a renaissance of sorts, with many countries building new nuclear plants.
