Bildt on Karadzic Arrest: "Late, late, late but good, good, good."

The Swedish Foreign Minister, the mass media here and refugees who fled to Sweden to escape from the bloodshed in the Balkans have all reacted strongly to the news of the arrest of former Bosnian-Serbian President Radovan Karadzic.

Foreign Minister Carl Bildt concludes that even if it has taken 10 years to capture the man accused of large-scale war crimes, it’s late but nevertheless a good thing for the troubled region.
