Hot Weather Halves Harvests

As always long periods of hot dry weather are never good news for farmers.

The lack of rain has dramatically decreased harvests with some farmers in southern Sweden estimating getting only half their usual crop this year.

Farmers say they don’t have enough fodder for their cattle and will be forced to buy in feed. The higher production costs are predicted to raise Swedish milk and beef prices in shops.
