Iron Ore Mines Re-open

Iron ore mines are to open up again in Sweden.

The 350 percent rise in the world market price of iron ore in the last four years has prompted mines that have been closed for up to 16 years to start digging again.

The increasing demand for steel is behind the move.

New businesses are to mine for the ore and other minerals in mines in just north of Stockholm.

The mines are to be up and running by next year.
