Swedes Recyle Paper, Glass, Batteries, Computers and More

Sweden is proud of its efforts in recyling as the key to saving energy and resources and helping stop climate change.

According to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, 82 percent of packaging here is reused, and overall recycling is at more than 80 percent, well above EU targets.

... paper, glass, cans, batteries, computers and other electronics, paint, and old medicines can all be taken to special centers for safe disposal and reuse.

Radio Sweden has visited one of Stockholm’s 250 streetside recycling stations – where Nils Lundkvist, Manager for Technical Strategy for the city’s Department for Waste Management explains.
