Swedes Criticize UN Work on Biological Diversity

Swedish experts on the international committee for United Nations work on the convention of biological diversity are openly critical - arguing that many countries have provided diplomats and politicians without scientific backgrounds.

The Swedes add they are concerned that future recommendations will not be the best possible - and won’t have the same respect as the recent UN reports on the global environment.

The UN convention was signed in 1992.
