Corelation Waist Size and Breast Cancer

A new study indicates that the risk of breast cancer increases with the size of a woman’s waist.

Swedish Radio News reports that researchers in Malmö studied some 10,000 women over a ten year period. They discovered that of the approximately 300 who developed breast cancer, many were overweight, with a large waist measurement.

While scientists have known there is a relationship between weight and breast cancer, this is the first time the risk has been directly related to waist size.
