Bear Hunt Underway

The Swedish bear hunting season is underway and the first bear has already been shot. It happened in Dalarna in central Sweden at 8 O’Clock on Thursday morning.

A quota of 233 bears can be legally shot during the hunting season, which ends on the 15th of October. That’s an increase of 49 bears on the year before. The hunt takes place in seven counties in Sweden. In recent years, two hunters have been killled by bears.
