Man Detained In Custody Over Woman Held Captive
A 58 year old man has been remanded in custody in Sweden suspected of unlawfully detaining a woman in a small cabin for several years.
Police said the woman, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, was held captive against her will in a 15 metre square cabin close to the town of Jonköping in central Sweden. The woman is suspected of being held for nine years.
At a remand hearing on Friday, the man denied the accusations.
Police are revealing few details about the case. It’s understood the woman is still being treated in hospital.
