Ignored Speed Signs Cost Lives

New figures from the Swedish National Road Administration show that more than half of motorists drive too fast.

However, on roads with automatic speed cameras, drivers lower their speed and also the risk of having an accident.

According to the study part of the problem is that only 43 percent of drivers acknowledge speed signs.

Cameras on the other hand are proven to be much more effective in reducing the number of deaths and serious injuries on the road with figures going down by a third.
