Icelandic Food Hits Stockholm

The Stockholm information office of the Nordic Council has been organising a series of public cookery sessions at the city’s Art Center - with the presence of different Nordic cultural personalities singing or reading about their national dishes.

Radio Sweden went to one session focusing on Iceland - meeting a Danish cook promoting organic foods and Nordic co-operation, a visiting Icelandic writer concerned with the environment back home, and a Swedish culinary expert commenting on the ”Viking style” food eaten by his Nordic neighbours living far out in the western Atlantic.
