Gothenburg Pulls Plug on Bottled Water

Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg, has announced plans to stop serving bottled water in all council-run establishments.

From October 1st, all patrons and workers, from teachers to civil servants, will be given tap water at work, which, the council assures, is of the highest quality.

The move aims to reduce the city’s impact on the environment as well as saving tax payer’s money, report AFP news agency.
