Wants to keep Sweden in the EU - Maria Wetterstrand

Greens against demand for Sweden’s EU-exit

Members of the Green environment party have voted for dropping the demand that Sweden should leave the EU.  46.5 percent of the party members participated in the vote that was held in September. Of those, 55 percent voted against the country detaching itself from the European Union, while 44 percent want to preserve the anti-EU-policy.

Maria Wetterstrand, co-president of the environment party, had distanced herself from canceling Swedish EU-membership during the party’s congress this summer.
