Opposition presents budget proposals

The Social Democrats introduced their budget proposal for the coming years to parliament on Tuesday. The leading opposition party’s plan includes spending 450 million dollars more for health care than the government is planning to appropriate. The Social Democrats also plan to grant additional tax reductions to employers who hire young job applicants.

The two other opposition parties, the Greens and the Leftists, presented their own budget proposals. The Left party criticized some of the tax planning of the Social Democrats as unfair to people with low incomes.
