Social Democrats and Greens agree on closer cooperation

The Social Democrats and the Green Environment Party have agreed to closely cooperate in the future. Social Democrats leader Mona Sahlin, said after a talks with top representatives of the Greens, the main goal of the two oppsition parties would be to form a coalition government after the electons of 2010.

The third opposition party, the Leftists, were not invited to the talks. Sahlin said, since the Left Party was not willing to accept important political principles, a cooperation would not be possible.
