Recession Means Fewer Driving Deaths

New figures from the Swedish National Road Administration show a drop in the number of people dying as a result of traffic accidents last year.

The Administration’s general director believes the recession has a part to play in the fall with higher petrol prices meaning fewer cars on the road.

If the trend continues, 2008 will be the safest year since the early years of motoring.
