Crown losing ground against euro

Crown lowest ever against euro

In the wake of the global financial crisis the Swedish crown has continued to drop against the dollar as well as the euro. On Wednesday the Swedish currency’s exchange rate was fixed at 10.12 crowns for one euro.

This was the lowest rating since the introduction of the Euro in 1999. In a referendum held in 2003 the Swedish people had rejected a government proposal to replace the crown with the euro as the national currency.
