Finnish, Romanian, Italian, Swedish Films Awarded in Uppsala

The International Short Film Festival in the city of Uppsala just north of Stockholm ended this week end – with awards going to the Finnish film Jos Kaadun  – about a young girl seeking love despite a crippling disability, the Romanian Film Interior “Scala de Bloc”  about family quarells involving neighbors and the Italian animated film “Muto” about urban characters changing  shapes and colors.

The award for the best Swedish film went to the animated “Lies” – true stories about twisting the truth.

This is Sweden’s official short film festival and nominates films for Oscar competitions in Hollywood.
