Mobile Phones A Real Life Saver

Mobile phones may soon be useful even when it comes to saving peoples lives. Pontus Johansson, a paediatrician at a hospital in Gothenburg has developed a program that can be used to tell people what to do in life threatening situations, such as emergency first aid involving throat obstructions, snake bites and burn injuries.

The programme talks the carer through the various first aid procedures, something that can easily be forgotten in times of extreme stress, he says.
