Ericsson 4 ahead of Puma

Ljungberg to American Soccer League

Former Swedish national soccer team captain Fredrik Ljungberg has signed with the new American team the Seattle Sounders.

He’s the Sounders designed player, under which Major League Soccer teams can sign one international player with only a small portion of their salary counting against the salary cap.

Ljungberg has previously played in two World Cups for Sweden, and has played for Arsenal and West Ham in the English Premier League.

In the Volvo Ocean race around the world, Sweden’s Ericsson 4 has a slim lead over American rival Puma Ocean racing, as the yachts head for their first stop in Capetown, South Africa.
