"Grooming" to be Made Illegal

It should be illegal for adults to make contact with children on the internet if their aim is sexual, according to Swedish Justice Minister Beatrice Ask.

Grooming, as it’s known, is not currently against the law, police can only act if a sexual assault actually takes place. The new law proposal would mean that any adult that takes concrete steps to meet up with a child, such as sending tickets, money, or setting up a time and a place for meeting would face prosecution, and up to a year in jail.
