Glass in Chicken Investigation

The Security Service of the Swedish police is involved in the investigation into pieces of glass found in supermarket chicken products across Sweden.

Since the first pieces were found a week ago, poultry wholesaler Kronfågel has recalled more than 900 tons of chicken.

The bits of glass have been found by consumers through-out the country, first in frozen products, more recently in fresh chicken.

As a result, several Swedish municipalities have decided to stop serving chicken in schools. (gw)
