Prime Minister Calls For Political Truce

Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has called on a domestic truce with the government’s opposition parties to present a united front to the world during Sweden’s six month Presidency of the EU which starts this summer.

Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt who heads the four party government coalition , held a meeting in his office on Tuesday with the leaders of Sweden’s current three main parties in Opposition, the Social Democrats, the Greens and the Left party. His aim was to invite a truce whereby the two opposing sides wouldn’t attack each other over contentious issues at home during Sweden’s six month presidency of the EU, which starts in July.
