Anti-EU Party Hit by Web Attack

Published fredag 5 juni 2009 kl 20.31

Hostile computer hacking is blamed for crashing the website of the Junilistan (June List) party for several hours.

According to press secretary Björn Jonasson, at first they simply thought the site was overwhelmed by high numbers of visitors but then they saw it was being deliberately overloaded by signals coming from the Södertörn college in Southern Stockholm. The party have now contacted the college to get to the bottom of this event.

Junilistan, which is strongly critical of the European Union, shot to fame when they won three seats in the previous Euro elections, but are thought likely to lose all of them on Sunday.
