The Fight for Greenland

The world's largest island Greenland, with its tiny population of Inuit Eskimos and Danish citizens,  has long been in the heart of some Swedes who have been deeply impressed with the native culture and stunning white landscape of vast glaciers, snow-covered mountains and majestic icebergs floating off shore in sky blue waters.

But this semi-autonomous part of the Danish relm located close to the North American shoreline – once with only very limited home rule – has been capturing news headlines these days for other reasons:
