Live Alligator Found In Travel Bag

Customs officers in the Norwegian capital of Oslo made a shocking discovery when they carried out a routine baggage check on a passenger arriving on the train from the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

They unzipped a ventilation tube inside a bag to find a 29.5 inch live alligator. The caiman reptile is on the endangered species list.

The owner of the alligator, a 22 year old student, said he bought the animal as a pet in Poland where he was studying and wanted to bring it home to Norway.
