Identity Theft on the Rise

More people are victims of identity theft than ever before in Sweden.

According to Swedish news agency TT, 1,439 people reported their identity stolen in the first half of this year. This is nearly 80% more than three years ago.

A credit report is often enough to discover the theft, as the stolen information is commonly used to make credit card purchases in the victim's name.
