Women Still Earn Much Less than Men

Last year, women in Sweden earned 93,4 per cent of what their male counterparts did, new statistics from the Government Agency National Mediation Office shows. The average monthly salary for women in Sweden were last year about $ 3,400 before taxes, while it was over $ 4,000 before taxes for men.

The difference in pay between men and women was more or less the same last year as it was in 1992, according to the Mediation Office.
