More Funds for Energy Effectiveness

The Swedish center-right government has announced it will provide an additional some 40 million dollars next year to smaller companies for energy-effective measures.

This almost doubles  the amount of funding in this area. The funds are to be distributed through the local governments.

The Swedish minister of industry, Maud Olofsson, maintains that 60% of the energy produced by the companies is lost - and that major savings can be made by using energy more effectively.
