New Battery Takes Seconds to Recharge

A Swedish nano-technology scientist has devised a new form of battery that can be recharged within seconds. According to science magazine Nano Letters, researcher Gustav Nyström is utilizing cellulose fibers from algae, coated with a layer of polymer plastic, to replace the commonly used lithium structure of today’s small-scale accumulators, thus cutting recharging time from hours to seconds. Nyström works at the university of Uppsala.
