Alshammar In Top Form

Swedish swimmer Therese Alshammar broke two world records in Saturday's World Cup event in Durban, South Africa.

The first record came in a qualifying heat in the 100m Freestyle race, when she swam a new world best of 58.51. Alshammer decided not to swim in the final, however, as the race was too close to her preferred event, the 50m Butterfly, which she then swam and broke another world record. The new 50m Butterfly record stands at 24.75, a whole 24 hundredths better than the old best.
