Rise in Stress Levels for Prison Staff

Six out of ten employed in Sweden's prison system experience violence or threats of violence at their workplace every day.

According to the union Seko, stress levels amongst staff has increased dramatically in recent years. Those guarding those in custody awaiting trial are at the sharp end, experiencing the worst problems. Seko is demanding better working consitions for its members.
