Swine Flu

Half of Stockholm’s Pregnant Women Vaccinated

Nearly half of all the pregnant women in the Stockholm region have now been vaccinated against the swine flu, daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter reports. 8,000 of 17,000 pregnant women were vaccinated by the end of this week, the report says.

The county council decided to extend the vaccination period for pregnant women and other possible risk group patients until mid-November when everyone who wishes is supposed to receive the vaccine. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old pregnant woman in Gothenburg is still in serious condition. The woman is on a respirator at Östra Sjukhuset hospital. It is unknown if she had received a vaccination.
