Border Agreement Slovenia-Croatia

As the Swedish presidency of the European Union continues, Slovenia and Croatia have signed an agreement here in Stockholm settling their border dispute.

Swedish Prime Fredrik Reinfeldt was their host, representing the Swedish European Union presidency. The deal is necessary for Slovenia to withdraw its objections to Croatia’s application for membership in the EU.

The agreement still must be ratified by the parliaments of the two countries.
