Stem Cells to Cure Diabetes

Swedish Radio News reports a breakthrough in stem cell research. Swedish scientists have discovered how and why immature cells develop into cells that produce insulin.

The discovery will hopefully lead to finding a treatment to cure diabetes. But the researchers at the University of Lund say that since stem cells are produced in all organs, this new knowledge can lead to much more.
