Electric Prods Used on Race Horses?

A prominent Swedish horse racer, Åke Svandstedt, is facing criminal charges in court for promoting anti-cruelty to animals.

The court claims he encouraged assistants to use electric prods from slaughter house work to make the horses run faster.

The accused denies the charges.
