"No" to Reduced Wage Agreements

Swedish labor union leaders are warning employees not to sign more crisis agreements reducing salaries and working hours in order to save troubled companies.

The unions claim that such measures are only justified in a crisis situation and that the economy is no longer in such a bad situation.

The unions maintain that 16 % of the companies in technical industries have such crisis agreements and that 40% of the engineers there are working full time even though they have agreed to accept lower salaries for a shorter work week.
