Swedish Health authorities report yet another swine flu fatality. A 40 year old man, who had been treated in the intensive care unit at a Värnamo hospital since November, is believed to have died of a blood clot on Monday morning. The man has been on and off a respirator during his stay at the hospital.
Earlier today Radio Sweden reported how a 47-year-old man from the northern city of Sundsvall had died of complications after being infected. He belonged to a risk group, since he had recently undergone an organ transplant. This raises Sweden’s official swine flu death toll to twenty. In the past weeks authorities have noted a considerable decline in the number of swine flu cases.
