More Swedes Say Yes to Euro

For the first time since the referendum of 2003 more Swedes are positive to introducing the Euro as the future currency of their country. According to Sweden Statistics at present 44 percent of the citizens now say yes to replacing the Swedish Crown with the Euro, while 42 percent are against it. More men than women are willing to make the change, Sweden Statistics said in a fresh survey.

A possible introduction of the Euro in Sweden is not likely to happen in the near future. The government has stated several times that currently there are no plans for a new referendum.
