The Swedish 70’s super pop group ABBA has been voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
"Waterloo" in 1974 was just about the only time a Eurovision winner was also an international hit and carried the group behind it to fame and fortune. Over the next eight years ABBA was a hit machine, selling more than 370 million records worldwide before they broke up in 1982.
Ironically the group didn't do nearly as well in the United States. That may also be why it's taken so long for them to be selected for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
