A new report indicates that nearly half of Swedes are disturbed by noise at work.
The study by the Swedish Association of Hard of Hearing People says that sound stress is a more and more common phenomenon. Some 44 percent of those surveyed said they have trouble hearing what others say at work. More than half of teachers complain about not being able to hear children in the classroom. Fifty-seven percent of Swedes think there is too much noise in offices.
The chairman of the Association of Hard of Hearing People, Jan-Peter Strömgren, says the regulation covering sound in the working environment are far too weak.
