Fog Cancels Skavsta Airport Flights

Some 3,000 passengers have been stranded at Sweden’s Skavsta airport 100 kilometers south of Stockholm because of heavy fog.

The ex-military airport has become the site of fast-increasing and lively low-budget international flight service.

Many of the passengers had to be taken to near-by Norrköping airport where the fog was less intense and to Stockholm’s international airport at Arlanda which has better equipment to deal with fog.
