Better Outlook for State Coffers

The Swedish National Debt Office reports that the state’s finances are expected to recover sooner than previously thought from the financial crisis. The budget deficit is to reach 53 billion kronor (7 billion USD) this year, which is 11 billion kronor less than earlier forecasts.

The more positive outlook can mostly be explained by lower-than-expected unemployment figures.
