"Acta Did Not Mislead Consumers"
The investment brokers Acta Holding did not mislead its customers regarding the risks of buying bonds in the investment bank Lehman Brothers, the Swedish National Board for Consumer Complaints concluded on Friday.
According to the body, Lehman Brothers was a respected bank, and when it crashed in the autumn of 2008, it came as a big surprise. But two of the seven members of the Board did not agree with the decision.
Last summer, the Swedish Financial supervisory Authority sharply criticised Acta holding and threatened to ban it from doing business in Sweden.
But Acta Holding has all along said they informed the customers about the risks.
Some 600 customers are currently preparing to sue Acta Holding.
