New Police Force to Combat Crimes

The Swedish police are setting up a special quick-action force to be sent in any where in the country to combat thefts, break-ins and crimes against the elderly.

The force is to have 200 officers and be ready for operations by January 1st next year.

A growing number of reports recently describe thieves knocking on the door of the elderly – pretending to be service personnel or friends of relatives in order to gain entrance.
