End to Turkish-Swedish Crisis?

The Turkish government is expected to discuss the Swedish parliament's decision to label the mass murder of Armenians and other ethnic groups during World War I as genocide.

News sources maintain that the Turkish government is eager to de-escalate the diplomatic crisis with Sweden over the vote, and that the recalled Turkish ambassador to Stockholm would soon return to Sweden.

Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt telephoned his Turkish counterpart over the week-end, explaining that his government did not support the vote in the Swedish parliament on Turkey.
